Obi-Wan  (Ben)  Kenobi

I immediately picked up ol' obi-wan the second I saw him.  He was the first of all the new 12" Star wars figures I own, and by far one of my favorites.

I decided to just use a 21st century body for this custom, as Hasbro refuses to make their SW figs with better bodies. It has better articulation and is a lot cheaper than anything else out there, within acceptable limits.

Overall I did very little to alter Kenobi as his costume is fairly accurate.  I traded his inner shirt with the Masterpiece Edition Annakin, and replaced his outer robe with an Episode I Qui-gon.  I also replaced his waist wrap with the scarf taken from a Hoth Luke.

A thin strip was sliced off the top and bottom of his belt before it was painted.  However the most work, really, was done with the saber.
The lightsaber needed a little reworking.  I, of course, had to paint the entire thing as it was molded in black plastic and completely unpainted.  I also cut several thin strips out of the ring grips to make it more accurate.
